Bookings are open for pony riding fun from age 4+
We are excited to let you know that bookings are open and Shetland Pony Club. In term time we open at weekends and we open daily in the holidays (except Fridays – ponies rest day) until the end of November, for children from age 4+. You can book: Summer Camps, 2 hour Own a Pony Experiences, 45 min Starter Rides and Pony Birthday Parties.
Shetland Pony Club is proud to be one of the first riding schools in the country to be awarded the Association of British Riding Schools Certification for COVID-19 Safe Working Practices. Having risk-assessed our riding in the light of the government guidelines, we have changed the age for riding to a minimum of 4 years old, until further notice.
Booking is by appointment only, so please do book a pony ride before visiting us. We do get very busy so please book well in advance to avoid disappointing the children.
Opening times – term time from March to November
Shetland Pony Club is open at WEEKENDS only during the school terms:
- Saturday 9am -1pm
- Sunday 9am – 1pm
Saturday and Sunday afternoons are reserved for private birthday parties and occasional starter rides
Opening times – school holidays
In the Easter, May Half Term, Summer holidays and Autumn Half Term week we open from 9am -1pm
Camp days run from 9.30 am – 4pm
The ponies rest on Fridays (the only exception is Good Friday Egg Hunts)
Please visit our ponies by appointment only. We do get very busy so please book well in advance to avoid disappointing the children.
Bank Holiday Mondays – closed
We close on Bank Holidays Mondays to attend external events or let our ponies rest, so do check before visiting us.
We close from December to February
Shetland Pony Club closes over the winter from December to February. This gives the ponies a well-earned winter holiday.
