It’s time to take our new Shetland Ponies for their first swim at the river-let’s go!
When we bring new ponies to the river it’s often best to bring the experienced ones first so they can show the new ponies what to do.
Dreamcoat, Wills and Gordon are showing them how it’s done.
Now it’s Fudge’s turn, he’s enjoying playing in the water!
Trooper doesn’t mind the water he’s from the Shetland Islands so may have been in the sea before, but we’re not sure if he’s been in a river before.
It’s Mufasa’s turn, look he’s having a little drink from the river.
Balmoral looks like it’s all about splashing everyone! He looks like he’s having so much fun, but let’s not try to soak everyone Balmoral. Let’s have a go in some shallow water to avoid splashing everyone.
It looks like our ponies are enjoying their very first swim in the river. Well done ponies!
Availability update:
Summer pony camp days and weeks – fully booked
- Enjoy the whole day with your favourite Shetland pony. Learn to ride him, look after him and enjoy being with him all day long. 9:30am – 4pm, Summer holidays only. Age 5+. £135/day – Keep an eye on the website for cancellations!
Own a Pony Experiences – are two hours long and are delightful early riding and learning experiences for children from age 4 years old. £65/ child.

- Sunday 4 September 2:15pm – spaces
- Saturday, 10 September 2:15pm – 1 space
- Sunday 11 September 2:15pm – 2 spaces
Starter Rides – back on for 3-year-olds! 45 minutes long and are specially designed as first riding experiences for children. £45/ child.

- Tuesday 30th August 3:30pm – 1 space
- Sunday, 16 October 12.15pm – 2 spaces
Shetland Pony Parties – back on for 3-year-olds! Amazing pony parties for children aged 3 -10 years old. Use of a private facility with 6 ponies, creating magical memories for your child’s birthday. One and a half hours – £650 for 10 children. Extra riding children (up to 18), £25 each.

Shetland Pony Walking is the perfect way for older children, teenagers and grown-ups to enjoy Shetland ponies in the lovely Surrey countryside.
