Which pony ride should I choose?

There are lots of pony riding and learning options available for all children aged 3 – 10 years old at Shetland Pony Club. Our friendly Shetlands are well trained, placid and waiting for you to come and enjoy riding and caring for them.

Here’s our guide to help you choose what’s right for you. Whether it’s a first equestrian experience for a grandchild’s birthday treat or a way to own a pony for the morning, we’ve something that will suit. We even have Shetland Pony Walking for adults, and NEW Pony Picnics for families.

I want to ride occasionally

Starter Rides – are 45 mins long and specially designed first riding experiences for children. Includes pony grooming a ride and age appropriate learning on their own pony. Starter Rides end with a certificate presentation. £59 per child. Each child will have their own pony and helper. Please note your child MUST be 3 years old at the time of their ride.

Own a Pony Experiences – are two hours long and are delightful early riding and learning experiences for children from age 4 years old. Includes lots of riding and pony care. Followed by a rosette presentation. £89 per child. Each child will have their own pony and helper.

I want to ride weekly

Mini – Membership – your chosen pony every week for 45 minutes from March – November from 3 years old. Age-appropriate pony riding and learning. £225 per month.

Pony Share Membership – your chosen pony every week for 2 hours from March – November from 5 years old. Includes lots of riding and pony care. £325 per month.

How do I book?

You can visit Shetland Pony Club by appointment only and we do get very busy, so do book early to avoid disappointment. Do book online or give us a call on 07734 950309 and we would be delighted to help you.
