Own a Pony Experiences – fun riding for children age 4 to 10 years old

Own a Pony Experiences are two hours long and are delightful early riding and learning experiences for children from age 4 years old. Includes lots of riding and pony care. Followed by a rosette presentation. £75 per child. Each child will have their own pony and helper. They are available from March – November by appointment only.  We get really busy so do book now.

Here’s what happens on an Own a Pony Experience:

Children meet and greet the ponies with a helper and learn to brush them. Then it’s time to help tack them up and learn to lead the ponies. Next, they enjoy an easy ride in our meadows with a leader that is confidence-boosting and fun. After a break, it’s time to enjoy some pony learning such as tack cleaning or clearing up the paddock (which they love!). Own a Pony Experiences are a really special all-round pony experience and children are presented with a rosette to take home at the end.

On Own a Pony Experiences children will:

• Meet the Shetland ponies
• Learn safety points
• Groom their pony
• Learn about pony care, hooves and feeding
• Tack up
• Learn to lead
• Ride on the lead rein in our meadows
• Paddock care
• Look after pony on return
• Prizegiving

Times:

Saturday and  Sunday afternoons: 2.15pm – 4.15 pm

School holidays: Monday – Thursday 11am – 1pm

Cost:

£75 per child
