Superb is our fabulous new pony at Shetland Pony Club. He is our youngest Shetland pony at the Ranch. He was breed on the Orkney Islands which are in the north of Scotland, close to the Shetrland Islands.  His official name is Hools Superb as he was born at the famous Hools Stud, in Toab, on Orkney.

He has won many prizes in showing.

Superb is a black pony which is quite a rare colour in horses.  He has a very long mane and tail which makes him very attractive.

Facts about Superb

Age: 10 years old
Size: Standard 40 inches
Colour: Black

Size: ponies and horses are measured in hands (the width of a grown-up’s hand is about 4 inches). He is 10 hands and high (10hh), making him one of the bigger for Shetland ponies – also called a Standard Shetland.

Experience: he is well trained and is suitable for Own a Pony Experiences and Pony Share Members. He loves children and he enjoys being brushed and ridden.

Riding: our lovely pony will be used for Pony Share Members,  Own a Pony Experiences and Pony Parties

Personality

Superb is a friendly pony.  He is inquisitive and has made good friends with the other Standard ponies at Shetland Pony Club – Mufasa, Trooper and Teddy Bear.
