The Shetland ponies are on holiday and will be rested and ready for more pony fun from Saturday 2 March 2019.

This week we go behind the scenes of the Face of Amazon Pets Video. We find out how Shetland pony Crème Brulee’s adorable video was made at Shetland Pony Club.
Behind the scenes with a Shetland pony
First Crème Brulee had to be shampooed and cleaned to make him look lovely. That gorgeous flaxen mane needed to be silky and smooth, so lots of work was needed to get him ready.
Next the professional pet photographer Rachel Oates arrived. She had a long list of photos to take and Crème Brulee and his friends had to pose in lots of different locations with Maddie.
Then the film crew shot the video. It took lots of takes to get the perfect shots of Crème Brulee. For most of them he had to perform remotely, so his natural horsemanship training came in handy.
Our filming day was an amazing experience for our Instagram star, Crème Brulee, Maddie and the team at Shetland Pony Club. What a great treat to become the 2018 Face of Amazon Pets.
On the judging panel were a number of influential media stars of the pet world including Strictly Come Dancing’s star Ashley Roberts, owner of Cooper the Maltese dog.
October half term is packed with pony fun and is almost fully booked.
Pony Mornings – are 2 hours long and are perfect early riding experiences for children from age 4 years old – £49 per child.
Starter Rides– are 45 minutes long and specially designed first riding experiences for children from age 2½ years old – £39 per child.
Halloween Pumpkin Rides – come and enjoy our legendary Halloween themed pony treasure hunts for pony-mad witches and wizards. Enjoy 1½ hours of pony riding fun at the ranch, for children from age 4 years old. £49 per child – fully booked.
