Did you know that listening to Shetland ponies munching grass (ASMR) can be very relaxing. The sounds they make can lower your stress levels.
ASMR
The sound of ponies eating is one of a number of things known as ASMR for short, or an Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. It can cause feelings of relaxation, calm, sleepiness and wellbeing. Head massage, humming, page turning and talking softly can also result in relaxing feelings in some people.
Look, listen and relax
We’ve put together a short video of our Shetland ponies munching grass. So, sit back, listen, relax and let the ponies melt your stress away.

Pause for a pony: 3 minutes of calm, ASMR
Did you know that some of the sounds we hear can be very calming and can help you to relax. Birdsong is one of these sounds.
It’s actually got a scientific name: Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, or ASMR for short, and it’s the feeling of relaxation that is felt after listening to certain trigger calming sounds, like birds singing the dawn chorus.
ASMR is also known as brain massage and can be triggered by placid sights too, such as ponies and the sunrise.
So, this week, our gift to you is to sit back and relax for 3 minutes of calm. Pause for a pony and melt your stress away with the ponies at sunrise in these difficult lockdown times.
We are planning to reopen on Saturday 6 March 2021, although this is subject to coronavirus restrictions and may be later. As soon as we have further information, we will let you know.
VIP bookings waiting list now open
Our full programme for 2021 will be online in the coming weeks and you can join the VIP Bookings Waiting List to be the first to hear when bookings open for the season.
