It’s all change at the Ranch – once upon a time a young girl in pink wellies came to ride the ponies at Shetland Pony Club. Several years later, she was back learning to be a team member. That was 7 years ago and that young girl went on to be a team leader and then our wonderful Ranch Manager.
It’s a busy job!
Libbie, our Ranch Manager has been in charge of organising all the ponies, all the riding, and all of our young people who lead the ponies every week. She is super organised and makes it safe and fun for all.
Good Luck to Libbie
After 3 wonderful seasons of pony care, camps, riding and events, Libbie is leaving us to follow her dream of becoming a Paramedic. We wish her every success in the future and thank her for making so many pony dreams come true.

Pony Share Membership 2025
You can experience a pony of your own, the easy way, with Pony Share Membership. Learn to ride, build a bond with your pony, come regularly to our club and enjoy pony fun in the countryside.
We are enrolling with a few spaces available now for our Pony Share Membership for 2025
- Pony Membership – a pony of your own each week, 2 hours, from age 4+ £275 per month (earlybird pricing)
- Mini Membership – a pony of your own each week, 45 minutes, from age 3+ £195 per month (earlybird pricing)

The School Trot Book– The School Trot is a beautifully illustrated children’s hardback bedtime story book, written by Rosemary, founder of Shetland Pony Club. It’s all about her very first Shetland pony, Billyboon and Camilla, who really did ride to school on a Shetland Pony. This book is a perfect short bedtime story and makes a lovely gift. It is published in hardback only and is £8.99 +p&p. You can purchase here.
Adopt a pony, Robin Hood– rescued pony at Shetland Pony Club. Receive a beautiful pony gift pack, access to Robin Hood’s own website, email updates and a voucher to visit him. Learn all about him and show you care. All proceeds go to help other horses in need. By adopting Robin Hood you are supporting our current horse charity, The Horse Trust. £50 +p&p. What to book at Shetland Pony Club
Shetland Pony Club reopens after the ponies winter holiday on 1 March 2025 – Party Bookings for the start of the season are open and all other riding will be available to book during January 2025 – be the first to find out here.
We have wonderful Gift Vouchers to buy here for all of our events for 2025:
Starter Rides – are 45 minutes long and are specially designed as early learning to ride experiences for children. From age 3 years old. £50 per child.
Own a Pony Experiences – are two hours long and are delightful early riding and learning experiences for children from age 4 years old. £75 per child.
Summer pony camp days and weeks – enjoy the whole day with your favourite Shetland pony. Learn to ride him, look after him and enjoy being with him all day long. 9:30am – 4pm, Summer holidays only. Age 5+. £150 per day.
Pony Walking Experiences – the perfect way for grown-ups and everyone aged 11+ to enjoy Shetland Ponies in the beautiful Surrey countryside. Come and spend time learning about and leading an adorable Shetland Pony. Followed by coffee and brownies. 1 Hour, £50 per adult.

Shetland Pony Parties – Give your child a magical pony party and create memories that will last a lifetime. Enjoy a fabulous afternoon with our adorable Shetland ponies that really will make those pony dreams come true.
We have 2 pony party options available:
- Maxi Pony Party – 8-18 riders – large stylish Ranch with lots of adorable ponies. Pony brushing, riding and party games, all organised by our friendly team, creating magical memories for your child’s birthday. 3-10 years. Weekends: 2:30pm – 4:30pm £600 for 8 riders £30 per extra rider
- NEW – Mini Pony Party – up to 6 riders – stylish Safari Tent with an adorable Shetland pony for each child and a friendly team to help, creating magical memories for your child’s birthday. 3-10 years. Weekends: 2:30pm – 4:30pm £450 for up to 6 riders (max)
