Shetland Pony weigh-in after lockdown
During lockdown the Shetland ponies did a lot of resting and eating. Some of them have put on too much weight. How can we tell?
Shetland Pony weigh-in
At Shetland Pony Club we have some special pony scales so that we can have a Shetland Pony weigh-in to see if the ponies are a healthy weight for their size.
Are all the ponies a healthy weight?
Honeybee, Snowdrop and Elgin Sunset are all a healthy weight for their size, but are all the ponies the right weight? Which ponies need to eat less and do more exercise?

New minimum riding age of 4
Shetland Pony Club is proud to be one of the first riding schools in the country to be awarded the Association of British Riding Schools Certification for COVID-19 Safe Working Practices. Having risk-assessed our riding in the light of the government guidelines, we have changed the age for riding to a minimum of 4 years old, until further notice.
For children aged 2.5 – 4, we hope to be able to resume riding soon. Keep an eye on our weekly email, social media and the website here for more information.
